Henry Strickland...

Henry is a seasoned consultant with more than 30 years’ experience. During that time he has worked in a wide variety of industries on assignments related to culture change, business strategy, operations management, quality and process improvement, industrial marketing and organisation.

After seven years as an engineer with Rolls-Royce, he took a year out to study for an MBA at INSEAD (in France). He then joined Arthur D. Little as a management consultant, resigning after seven years to set up his own consulting practice, Henry Strickland Associates, specialising in developing and implementing successful change programmes for clients. His main focus has been on the use of proprietary Learning Tools as a means of energising and motivating an entire organisation quickly. Due to the change-related nature of most of his work he has often coached managers and executives as part of the overall programme, so vital is it to the success of any change initiative.

For a period of 6 years he ran a specialised innovation consultancy which pioneered the use of TRIZ, a method developed in Russia for rapid technical innovation and product development. His clients included Rolls-Royce and British Aerospace, along with many others.

In addition to his consulting work he is a director of a number of companies in the UK and Malta.

Henry’s is now focusing his extensive experience and his passion for practical and durable solutions on helping other businesses grow and develop in a structured way. He believes that there is considerable opportunity for smaller companies to benefit from this, allowing them to grow substantially and achieve the goals and aspirations of their owners.

Married with two grown up children, Henry lives near Kendal. His outside interests are many and varied, but include fell walking in the Lakes, furniture and antiques, travel and good food.
